My entry for #LionKingStorytellers contest about why Scar/Taka was late to Simba's birth presentation.
This took me so long. My art schedule for this beast= 10:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. / 10:00 a.m. - THE REST OF TEH FUKUN' DAY.

I am EXTREMELY pleased with how this came out, considering I've never drawn ANY of the characters shown… I shame myself. But my biggest pain was trying to get the hyenas to look like, well… the hyenas.
The basis of the drawing is that I love to connect fictional characters with their other actors roles like Sora with The Sixth Sense kid and Master Eraqous with Luke Skywalker. Well, I researched Jeremy Irons(Scar's voice actor) and almost immediately I noticed "Dungeons and Dragons" in his filmography. "That's it, that's what I'm doing," I said to myself and I immediately started drawing.

I just want to thank :iconjuffs: for making the most enthralling contests. They all have a certain theme but they don't limit your imagination and give a window of creativity. Awesome.

I'm glad you enjoyed it so much:D
I wanted a few of the characters to be put in costume, so I put Zira in a cloak. IT was sorta inspired by Frodo Baggins' cloak from The Lord of the Rings.
